Data and statistical analysis in the Asia and Pacific region contributes to knowledge generation in ADB, helping strengthen its institutional priorities and operational effectiveness in its developing member countries.
Developing Asia is expected to sustain its strong rebound as envisaged in September. The growth projection for the region in 2021 is revised down very slightly to 7.0% as forecasts for East, South, and Southeast Asia are downgraded. The regional growth forecast for 2022 is revised down slightly from 5.4% to 5.3% to reflect recovery in East Asia below earlier expectations.
